The Swedish death metal outfit Bloodbath has announced a new album entitled Survival of The Sickest. According to Consequence Heavy, the upcoming project is set to drop on September 9 through Napalm Records. In anticipation of the upcoming release, the Swedish supergroup has dropped lead single “Zombie Inferno.”
Consequence quotes the band describing the new album as following “One man’s struggle to rid the World of Zombie Infestation that seems to have inconveniently taken over the planet… Particularly, as he’s just refueled his 1969 Dodge Super Bee 440.”

The lead single “Zombie Inferno,” also serving as the album’s opening track, should give fans an excellent idea of what to expect from Survival of The Sickest. The track is a thrilling display of what Bloodbath does best, showing off speedy and crushing guitar riffs, lightning fast guitar solos, interesting tempo changes and vocals that are as aggressive as ever, keeping a sound that resembles old-school style death metal. A music video directed by Ash Pears shows off the album’s main character driving around surrounded by the chaos of the “Zombie Inferno.”
