Sumac Announces Summer 2022 Tour Dates Featuring Big | Brave & Tashi Dorji

The massive post-metal supergroup Sumac has officially announced its tour for the Summer of 2022. The tour of the group, which possesses members based both in Canada and the United States, will reach various parts of both countries. Information on tickets have yet to be announced.

Brooklyn Vegan reports that Sumac will be joined on their journey throughout America and Canada by the drone metal band Big | Brave and the improvisational guitarist Tashi Dorji. In addition, two shows in North Carolina will also feature the duo Manas, consisting of Tashi Dorji and drummer Thom Nguyen.

Kicking off the bands’ trek will be a performance at the Lincoln Hall of Chicago on August 8. The musicians will go on to offer a concert in Detroit, Michigan, before taking a detour to Canada, where they will offer shows in Toronto, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec. After returning to America, the musicians will proceed to give shows in Cambridge, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, two shows in North Carolina, Atlanta, Nashville, concluding with a show at the Ace of Cups in Columbus, Ohio on August 21.

Previously, Sumac have released a full length studio album in 2020 titled May You Be Held. Big Brave have also recently released studio album titled Vital in 2021.
