Ozzy Osbourne, the famous American rock and roll singer that brought fans “Paranoid” and “Iron Man” just came across bad news for fans revolving around his daughter, Aimée Osbourn. Last Thursday night, May 19, a deadly fire broke out in a Hollywood recording studio.
Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy Osbourne’s wife, confirmed that their daughter Aimée has luckily escaped the fire, along with her producer. However, one person in the building sadly did not escape, and died in the fire. According to Consequence, the fire broke out at 6pm, in the industrial complexes that have several recording studios in W. Lexington Ave. It took 71 firefighters to extinguish all the flames in approximately 51 minutes.
Sharon Osbourne had more to say on the matter in an Instagram Post, “Today my daughter was working in a recording studio at this building with her producer. They are the lucky two that made it out alive. It is utterly heartbreaking that someone lost their life today in this fire & we are sending our prayers to this person & their family.” Osbourne then hopes that buildings like these are better prepared for fires, ” This building was a creative hub for music in Hollywood, a space that should have been regulated for fire code.”
The building posed even more of a hazard as the studio is built with sound-proof walls, heavy amounts of insulation, and double dry wall. The Los Angeles Fire Department arson investigators are still looking for the source of the fire.
