To promote and celebrate the release of their eleventh studio album Ego Trip, nu metal and hard rock band Papa Roach, well known for their song “Last Resort,” performed for guests at Shakey’s Pizza in Hollywood, Calif. The album was released on April 8, 2022. The whole experience was captured on video and can be seen here:
Earlier this year, Papa Roach joined forces with Hollywood Undead and Bad Wolves at the House of Blues Anaheim on March 1, 2022. The tour was also in celebration and anticipation of the then-upcoming album. They are also scheduled to perform at the Welcome to Rockville music festival based in Daytona Beach, Fla. They will be performing with a host of other fellow rock acts in what has been billed as “the biggest lineup yet for the newly crowned Largest Rock Festival In America.” Some of the bands who will share the stage are Guns N’ Roses, Foo Fighters, KISS and KORN.
They are sure to carry on with the energy exhibited in their pizza parlor performance, especially once they have a larger audience. A smaller crowd didn’t stop Papa Roach from putting on an exciting show. Frontman Jacoby Shaddix hit off their performance with this humorous dedication: “This one goes out to anyone who used to play Tony Hawk: Pro Skater 2.”
Shaddix then organized a wall of death at the Shakey’s Pizza show. For those who don’t know, a wall of death is when the crowd splits in half and then charges toward each other at the direction of the performer.
The intimate performance at Shakey’s Pizza allowed for Shaddix and fellow band members to perform and celebrate their music with their fans.
