Regina Spektor revealed that her new album, Home, before and after will be released June 24 via Warner Records. She also released the first single from the album, “Becoming All Alone” on Tuesday.
The singer’s eighth studio album was recorded in upstate New York with the help of producer John Congleton. The first single, “Becoming All Alone,” is an emotional ballad that takes listeners through the feelings being surrounded by people, yet still feeling alone. “Why doesn’t it get better with time? I’m becoming all alone again,” she sings.
Spektor will be playing a homecoming show at Carnegie Hall in New York City on April 11, alongside shows in Salt Lake City, Aspen, Denver, and Morrison in July. The singer’s most recent album from 2016, Remember Us To Life, has received acclaim from NPR, Entertainment Weekly, New York Magazine, and People, among other outlets.
