Greg Dulli, Moby, Skeleton Joe, And More React To The Death Of Legendary Mark Lanegan

Following the release of news that Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan died at age 57 earlier in the day, artists like Greg Dulli, Moby, Skeleton Joe, Iggy Pop, and more have paid tribute to the late artist through social media.

Peter Hook, former New Order bassist, tweeted, “Mark Lanegan was a lovely man. He led a wild life that some of us could only dream of. He leaves us with fantastic words and music! Thank god that through all of that he will live forever. RIP Mark. Sleep well.”

Meanwhile, Wisconsin-based band, Garbage, stated, “Terribly saddened to hear the news of the passing of Mark Lanegan. A very gifted artist blessed with honey dipped tones, gone far too soon.”

The singer died this morning of a still-unknown cause. His passing was announced by a representative on social media.

John Cale, Badly Drawn Boy, Slash, Mark Pickerel, Manic Street Preachers, Mark Morton, and Tim Burgess all took to Twitter to pay tribute to the recently-departed singer.
