A rare recording of Daft Punk performing maskless in 1997 streamed on Twitch in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the duo’s debut album, Homework. The recording took place in December, 1997 at the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles during their “Daftendirektour.”
The stream was labelled an “exclusive and time limited piece of content” and was only shown this one time. Daft Punk also launched a digital deluxe version of Homework, which consists of 15 remixes – nine of which were not available on streamers. The expanded album includes appearances from Masters At Work, DJ Sneak, Todd Terry, Motorbass, Slam, Ian Pooley, I:Cube, Roger Sanchez & Junior Sanchez, among others.
The electronic group announced that it would part ways just one year ago from today.
