The Nine Inch Nails announced its tour dates for 2022 – its first since 2018’s Cold and Black and Infinite tour. Ministry and Nitzer Ebb will perform at Cleveland’s Blossom Music Center – where the band originated – on the final night of the tour as special guests.
The tour will begin on April 28 in Raleigh, North Carolina at the Red Hat Amphitheater. Additional special guests for other dates of the tour will be announced in the coming weeks. Presale tickets will begin Tuesday, February 8 at 10 a.m., while tickets will go on sale to the public beginning February 11 at 10 a.m.
Nine Inch Nails previously canceled their scheduled Cleveland performances in August, 2021, after the Delta COVID-19 variant began circulating across the United States. Led by front-man Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the band received world-wide acclaim after having formed in 1988.
Nine Inch Nails and Ministry were a close-knit group in the former band’s early days. At one point, Trent Reznor was meant to serve as vocalist on Ministry’s side project’s, 1,000 Homo DJs, cover of Black Sabbath’s “Supernaut.” However, due to conflicts with NIN’s record label, Reznor was not put on the release and Al Jourgensen re-sang the vocals at the last minute – deliberately making himself sound like Reznor. Reznor’s original vocal track was released years later.
