After more than a year hiatus, the Shaky Knees Festival was back this October in a special “Spooky Knees” Halloween format. That meant a spattering of costumed attendees and plenty of magic in the form of live music back in all its glory. Day one kicked off early on with a performance by punk proto-rockers Glove, followed by an early afternoon crowd surf and a lot of whiskey sipping by the trash-grass outlaws of Tejon Street Corner Thieves over at the Ponce De Leon stage, the rowdiest of the bunch. Frankie and the Witch Fingers kept the energy moving with a can’t-miss psych-garage outburst before an electro-dance-pop performance by Israeli artist Noga Erez. Cults and Local H rocked out in the early evening before Dominic Fike brought the hits. The night wrapped up with an emotionally drenched solo show by Amigo The Devil that folks were sore to miss.
