Faded Morgana hosted their Smoke Monthly Music & Art Showcase in Pomona, California on Friday, October 15th. The night consisted of drinks, laughter, and performances from musicians such as Dylan Van Vleet, Rico and The Niteshade, Mickeys Death Wheel, Prism Cluster, and Poe the Passenger.
The event took place in the DBA 256 Bar & Gallery, a dim-lit bar filled with friends and music lovers. The show began with a performance from Dylan Van Vleet. Friends and fans cheered him on as he sang covers of The Neighborhood’s “Sweater Weather” and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.” Next followed the acoustic solo act from Rico and The Niteshade. The small venue was perfect for the intimate country performance.
Between intermissions and as artists set up their equipment on stage, guests were able to purchase merchandise and meet with performers who were also enjoying the show within the crowd.
Mickey’s Death Wheel took the stage with their incredible performance that had everyone on their feet. The band played their original songs such as “Cherry Bombs” and “Sugar.” Not only did the group have everyone dancing along, but also singing along to alternative classics such as The Smashing Pumpkin’s “1979.”
Los Angeles natives, Poe the Passenger stormed the venue with their high energy that pumped everyone up. The crowd cheered and danced along to the band’s hit songs such as “Where You Go” and “Gone.” Poe the Passenger’s synergy with the crowd was unmatched as they ensured everyone was having a great time. Their electrifying guitars and smashing drums emitted intense energy. The crowd couldn’t help but move along to every beat, particularly with the band’s surprise snippet of Rage Against The Machine’s “Killing In The Name.”
The night closed with a show from Prism Cluster, who despite accidentally turning off his equipment persevered and worked the room during his performance. All in all, it was an incredible night full of drinks, cheers, and dancing as artists were glad to be back on stage, and fans were thrilled to be within the crowd listening to their favorite artists.
