Indie Rock Band Speedy Ortiz will perform at Sunflower Philly on Saturday, October 16th. Tickets to the show are available through Sunflower Philly and cost $15.00. The show begins at 5:00PM and anyone under the age of 21 must be accompanied by an adult. The show will feature Philadelphia based grunge artist King Azaz and lead singer of Imagine Sports, Carmen Perry.
Speedy Ortiz was founded as the solo project of front woman Sadie Dupuis, but soon morphed into a full-fledged band. Their debut album, Major Arcana, was released in 2013 and received Pitchfork’s title of Best New Album. The bands Sophomore and Junior albums were released to similarly positive reviews.
If you want to see a high energy show packed with local talent, this isn’t something you’ll want to miss.
