UK’s Dry Cleaning Hits the Teragram Ballroom 11/10/21

UK post-punk outfit Dry Cleaning recently announced a US and European tour, which will stop at the Teragram Ballroom on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.  The tour is in support of their debut LP New Long Leg, which was released on April 2, 2021 via 4AD. The debut full-length is a follow up to their 2019 EPs, Sweet Princess and Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks.

The southeast London-based four-piece band are known for their uninterested spoken-word vocals, intricate guitar riffs and catchy bass lines. Their latest album New Long Leg is a post-punk fan’s dream – while the guitar line hits the ears first, the deep spoken female vocals draw the listener with amusing lyrics like “Wristband, theme park, scratch card, lanyard” and “An electrician stuck his finger in the plug hole / And shouted ‘Yabba’.” Singer Florence Shaw’s humorous deadpan charisma shines through, juxtaposed by guitarist Tom Dowse’s constant riffs and movement. The 10-track album was recorded over two weeks in summer 2020 at Rockfield Studios in rural Wales with producer John Parish (PJ Harvey, Aldous Harding).

Tickets to see this all-ages show at the Teragram Ballroom are on sale now via Ticketmaster for $20 each plus service fees. Grab your tickets to catch Dry Cleaning live on their upcoming tour!
