R&B artist Doja Cat to perform July 4th show in Coney Island

Rapper and R&B singer Doja Cat will be performing at Coney Art Walls in Coney Island on Sunday, July 4th. The concert is 18+ and begins at 2:00pm. General Admission tickets cost $49.00 and are available on Tixr. The Independence Day show also features DJ Spade, DJ Suss One and DJ Ria.

Doja Cat, born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, has been creating music since high school. She gained an audience when her song “Mooo!” became a viral sensation, amassing over 75 million views on Youtube in 2018. She is known for her song “Say So”, from her second studio album Hot Pink, which spawned a popular Tiktok dance and has almost 800 million streams on Spotify. She has collaborated with popular artists such as Rico Nasty, Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj, and Ariana Grande.

The show at Coney Art Walls is part of Doja Cat’s promotion for her 2021 album, Planet Her, which is scheduled to be released on June 25th. The album features vocals from Grimes, Ariana Grande, SZA, and The Weekend. Fans have only gotten a glimpse of this album from the promotional single “Need to Know”, which was released on June 11th. The song and accompanying music video set a smooth, spacey atmosphere that it looks like the rest of the album will follow.

If you want to spend your fourth of July seeing great live music, this is a show you’ll want to get tickets to.
