See Deafheaven at the Theatre at Ace Hotel 10/16/21

San Francisco’s Deafheaven is set to embark on a two-date mini California tour, which will stop at the Theatre at Ace Hotel on Saturday, October 16. The band will be celebrating a decade together with their fans in attendance. They initially planned for a 2020 anniversary tour, but the tour was postponed due to Covid-19. Deafheaven released a 10-year commemorative live-in-studio record, 10 Years Gone (live) in December 2020, which was a glimpse of their 2020 tour set, as well as a b-side, from their fourth album Ordinary Corrupt Human Love titled “Black Brick” in 2019.

Formed in 2010 in San Francisco, Deafheaven have released four studio albums including Roads to Judah, Sunbather, New Bermuda, and Ordinary Corrupt Human Love. The group consists of members George Clarke (vocals), Kerry McCoy (guitar), Dan Tracy (drums), Stephen Lee Clark (bass), and Shiv Mehra (guitar). The band combines elements of black metal and shoegaze, blast beats and dreamy guitar soundscapes with screaming vocals for their unique heavy sound. Although they’re often categorized as black metal, the band’s sound truly stands out with incorporations of shoegaze and post rock.
