High on Fire has announced a show at the Viva Los Motos event in Del Valle on Saturday, June 19th. The event will be open for the public at 4:30 pm and will end at 10:00 pm with tickets being sold for $30.
High on Fire is an American heavy metal band from Oakland, California. The band was founded in 1998 by frontman Matt Pike and drummer Des Kensel roughly 6 months after the dissolution of their band Sleep. Their music incorporates elements of Doom, Stoner, and thrash metal with lyrics based on mythology, spirituality, and conspiracies.
High on Fire released a handful of well-received, though largely under-the-radar albums before issuing the acclaimed Blessed Black Wings in 2005. Subsequent efforts like Snakes of the Divine (2010) and Electric Messiah (2018), the latter of which took home a Grammy Award, continued to blow the unholy horn of plenty, helping the band earn their place as one of the most widely respected heavy metal outfits on the planet.
