Soccer Mommy has just announced tour dates for later this year in the US, with one stop at Emo’s Austin on Friday, October 22 rescheduled from Tuesday, May 5. This is an all-ages show with doors opening at 7 and tickets ranging from $22-$24.
Sophia Regina Allison, aka Soccer Mommy, is a 22-year-old American singer-songwriter born In Switzerland and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. Having started playing guitar at age six, Allison attended Nashville School of Arts, a specialty high school where she studied guitar and played in the swing band. While in college at NYU studying music business, she played her first show as Soccer Mommy at the community art space Silent Barn in Bushwick, Brooklyn, which then landed her a record deal with Fat Possum. This resulted in her dropping out of college after 2 years in 2017 to pursue her music career in Nashville.
Allison has released 4 albums since she began releasing music including her first full-length album, For Young Hearts, which released in 2016; her second album, Collection, in 2017; her breakthrough debut album Clean, releasing in 2018; and her most recent album Color Theory, which released in 2020. Since then, she has toured with the likes of Kacey Musgraves, Vampire Weekend, Paramore, Wilco, and Liz Phair, made her festival debuts at Coachella, Gov Ball, and Primavera Sound, and signed to Loma Vista Recordings.
