Catch Riot Grrrl Pioneers Bikini Kill at The Greek Theatre 4/29/22

For the first time since 1997, riot grrrl pioneers Bikini Kill are heading on tour. The legendary feminist punk band re-grouped in 2019 with the intention to head on tour for ten thrilling performances in select cities across the US, London and a headlining Riot Fest appearance. Naturally, the shows sold out quickly, leading the band to announce a more expansive, international tour in 2020. Covid-19 happened, and the tour was postponed once again. Bikini Kill recently announced their new 2022 tour dates, which will take them through North America and the United Kingdom. Fortunately for Angelenos, their first stop will be at the stunning outdoor Greek Theatre on April 29, 2022. All

Formally known as the band that pioneered the riot grrrl movement that spread from Washington to punk musicians across the world, Bikini Kill formed in Olympia, WA in 1990.  Their current lineup consists of Kathleen Hanna (vocals), Tobi Vail (drums), Kathi Wilcox (bass) and Erica Dawn Lyle (guitar). Together, Bikini Kill have released five studio albums, including The Singles (1998), Reject All-American (1996), Pussy Whipped (1993), Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah (1993) and Revolution Girl Style Now (1991), before disbanding in 1997.  Their reunion took place in 2019 with the intention of performing live together once more, as well as to celebrate the 25th anniversary Reject All-American. To celebrate the recent 25th Anniversary of this iconic album, the band will release 500-copy limited edition, blue vinyl pressings available May 7, only on Bandcamp.
