Tame Impala @ Frank Erwin Center 8/14

Tame Impala has announced a tour supporting their latest album “The Slow Rush” released in 2020 with a show at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas on Saturday, August 14th. Prices for tickets range from $59 to $328 taking into consideration the size of the arena. This show is for all ages with doors being opened at 6 pm and music starting at 7 pm.

Project of Australian multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, Tame Impala, has redefined the psychedelic pop-rock genre stemming from their debut studio album Innerspeaker released in 2010 certifying gold in Australia. Originally a home recording project, a cult following was immediately formed leading to their second album Lonerism in 2012 reaching platinum status in Australia and received a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album. Their third album currents, being one of my favorite albums of all time and my high school anthem, released in 2015 continuing to win ARIA Awards for Best Rock Album and Album of the Year, and the track “Let it Happen” received an APRA Award for Song of the Year.

The Slow Rush, their latest album and the primary celebration of this tour, has won five trophies so far at the 2020 ARIA Music Award, and with only a few shows that have supported its release due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is much more in the plan for this visionary Aussie in the coming future.
