Via theprp, Ukrainian metalcore band Jinjer recently announced they have broke ground for their forth full length studio album. This brand-new project follows 2019’s Macro.
The news broke after the band posted a video of drummer Vyacheslav Okhrimenko in the middle of laying down rhythm sections during a recording session. Aside from the exhilarating drum takes, there is a short interview included in the video in which a tour of the studio and drum set is provided. Toward the end of the behind-the-scenes footage, Okhrimenko shrugs and mentions the album is already completed, saying “So dude, that’s all. The record is done.” While a release date or a title attached to the piece has yet to be provided, if the track list is finalized and mixed, fans will not have to wait long.
Jinjer was originally formed in 2009, by Maksym Fatullaiev (vocals), Dmitriy Oksen (rhythm guitar), and Okhrimenko. Although the band would say that 2010 was their initiative year, when Tatiana Shmailyuk replaced Fatullaiev on vocals and Roman Ibramkhalilov was tapped for lead guitar. The group is known for their genre bending style. Labeled primarily as progressive metalcore, Jinjer has employed contrasting blends of sonic flavor that include R&B, soul, funk, jazz, reggae, groove metal and deathcore.
