Pale Waves Shares Sultry New Music Video For Single “She’s My Religion”

Pale Waves have shared the music video for “She’s My Religion,” the most recent single off the band’s upcoming album Who Am I? The record is scheduled to be released on February 12, 2021 via Dirty Hit, while the music video features Pale Waves front woman Heather Baron-Gracie and her girlfriend, Kelsi Luck. The video had been directed by filmmaker and photographer, Jess Kohl.

“I wanted to give my fans a song to find themselves in,” Baron-Gracie said in a press statement. “I wish I had a song like this when I was a young girl trying to find herself in the world.”

The music video follows the pair as they drive around a neighborhood together and share longing looks, rushing up stairs of a house and enjoying intimate moments together. The warm lighting highlights the lyrics of the song, which focuses on falling in love and adoring the woman who is loved most.

Pale Waves released the single “She’s My Religion” last week, with Baron-Gracie saying she wrote the single as an expression of her sexuality. “She’s My Religion” follows Who Am I? lead single, “Change.” The band had also released the single “SkinDeepSkyHighHeartWide” for the motion picture The Turning back in November. The official sound track for the film will be released in January.

Who Am I? will come as the band’s sophomore album, and follows 2018’s My Mind Makes Noises. Their first EP included the singles “Black,” “Noises” and “Kiss.” Pale Waves’ first EP had also been released in 2018, with All The Things I Never Saidwhile their first singles, “Television Romance” and “There’s a Honey” had been released in 2017.
