Catch Hip Hop Artist Watsky at the Teragram Ballroom 5/13/21

Hip-hop artist Watsky and his band are coming to the Teragram Ballroom on May 13, 2021. The show was initially scheduled to take place on May 14, 2020, but has been postponed due to Covid-19. For one night only, the band will perform the entirety of his album All You Can Do, followed by a short set of new and old favorites. This event is part of a special series of shows in which Watsky performs an album from his discography in the city that inspired it. Released in 2014, All You Can Do was written in Watsky’s garage in Los Feliz and recorded in downtown LA. This performance will feature opening acts from hip-hop artists Travis Thompson, Chukwudi Hodge.

Earlier this year, Watsky set the Guinness World Record for longest rap marathon, spitting bars for 33 hours 33 minutes and 19 seconds straight. The live-streamed event raised funds for his band and crew who were sidelined by Covid-19 postponing his Placement tour, for his fans for “lost travel expenses” and ticket refunds, and for other struggling musicians during this time through the organization Sweet Relief.

A product of San Francisco’s spoken word poetry scene, Watsky (aka George Watsky) has appeared on HBO Def Poetry, Ellen, NPR, PBS, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton Mixtape, toured extensively with his live band, and accumulated over 200 million YouTube views. In 2016 his album x Infinity reached #4 on the Billboard rap albums chart, and his debut essay collection, How To Ruin Everything, was a New York Times bestseller. The artist has six albums under his belt, most recently Complaint (2019) and Placement (2020).
