Ontario-bred singer/songwriter Billy Raffoul is heading on tour next spring and will stop in Los Angeles at the Moroccan Lounge on April 26, 2021. The tour was initially supposed to begin in spring 2021, but has been pushed back one year due to Covid-19. The tour will be in support of Raffoul’s debut full-length release, International Hotel.
What started with providing backing vocals for some Kid Rock demos turned into talent discovery and a solo career. The singer now spends his time between Nashville and Los Angeles, collaborating with artists and working on his debut album. Raffoul first came on the scene with his 2017 single “Driver,” which was inspired by a memory of Raffoul’s family picking up a hitchhiker one night after playing a gig on Pelee Island in the middle of Lake Erie. His signature sound is a rough-hewn, low-timbered rock and roll that nods to the likes of Jeff Buckley, Neil Young, and Joe Cocker, and is powered by Raffoul’s gravelly, soulful voice and deeply felt lyrics. In the late 2010’s, Raffoul released EPs and hit singles like “Acoustic” and “Dark Four Door,” which amassed millioned of streams.
