UK Duo Jadu Heart are performing for two dates at the Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles, May 13 and 14, 2021. Tickets are sold out for May 13, but are available for purchase for May 14. These performances will be their last of their tour dates, as they’re heading on tour next spring in Europe before finishing in New York and Los Angeles. Their tour will be in support of their latest full-length release, Hyper Romance.
Jadu Heart consists of duo Alex Headford and Diva Jeffery who, in past performances, have been seen wearing masks that resemble the eerie bunny from the movie Donnie Darko. Since their 2016 debut EP, Wanderflower, Jadu Heart has been slowly building a catalog of electro-pop, R&B, and psychedelic catchy bops. The new album Hyper Romance is full of dreamy, atmospheric tracks, and short videos teasing pieces of their tracks can be found on their instagram. This is their second full-length album, following their 2019 debut Melt Away. Their new sound strips away their masks and takes a more simplistic approach with subtle intros and psych rock build ups. Glimpses of Tame Impala’s psych rock sound can be found in tracks like “Dead, Again” and “Metal Violets.”
