‘Let Me Be Understood’, John Moreland is Coming to The Independent on 1/29/21

John Moreland

Oklahoma-based singer and songwriter John Moreland has found himself living in a variety of places throughout his life, anywhere from Longview, Texas to Northern Kentucky. But one thing is certain, all of these different hometowns have instilled in John Moreland a love of the church and of his home that has influenced his music today. Having picked up a guitar at around thirteen or fourteen having been inspired by the church, Moreland soon began performing in shows and playing in local bands. However, since the start of his solo career, Moreland’s music has largely been self-performed and self-produced. Moreland even runs his own mail-order business to ship his own records.

Eight albums and one EP later, though, John Moreland has solidified himself as an Americana and folk-rock artist in the music scene. Most recently, Moreland released his fifth solo album, LP5, in 2020. And on January 29th in the year 2021, John Moreland will be coming to the Bay Area’s The Independent to perform in promotion of his newest album. Be sure to catch him there and continue to follow MXDWN for all your music updates.
