See LA Rockers Dawes at the Drive-In OC, City National Grove of Anaheim 10/17/20

LA Rockers Dawes are performing at the Drive-In OC at the City National Grove of Anaheim on October 17, 2020. Their live performance will be in support of their new album Good Luck With Whatever, which was released this pat Friday, October 2 via Rounder Records. Tickets just went on sale last Friday morning, so grab yours, load up the car and get ready to rock! This performance is brought to you by So Cal station 88Five Live (88.5 FM) in partnership with Nederlander.

Dawes consists of members Taylor Goldsmith (guitars, vocals), Griffin Goldsmith (drums), Wylie Gelber (bass), Lee Pardini (keys). The band offers a Laurel Canyon, folk-rock vibe and sound to the likes of Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Joni Mitchell and Neil Young. Together, the band has produced seven studio albums since 2009, two live albums and a handful of singles as well. Their latest offering Good Luck With Whatever sets a new tone for the band that is still very much rooted in rock, but feels conflicted about wanting to remain a child and wanting to grow up. Think “I Don’t Wanna Grow Up, I’m a Toys R Us Kid” meets “I Wanna Be Sedated,” the band shares as a self-description.

Visit the Drive-In and support one of LA’s rocking-est bands around!
