Catch Cheap Trick and Blue Oyster Cult Live at the Pacific Amphitheatre 7/14/21

The 2020 OC Fair has been cancelled, along with the performances they’ve booked for this year. Cheap Trick and Blue Oyster Cult’s pre-fair show has thus been rescheduled to July 14, 2021, when times will hopefully return to some sense of normalcy and fairs and concerts can be enjoyed.

We’ve all heard bands cover Cheap Trick at some point in our lives, and perhaps also a rendition of “I Want You To Want Me” during karaoke night. That’s because Cheap Trick are a musical institution with a handful of timeless classic songs such as “I Want You to Want Me,” “Surrender,” and the late ’80s lighter-waving favorite, “The Flame.” About equally as popular in the dad rock category, Blue Oyster Cult will join Cheap Trick for this pre-fair show. Their well-known hits like “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” and “Burnin’ For You” will have you and your dad jumping in your Birkenstocks. The group formed in ’67 and basically pioneered the heavy metal style. Their live performance is said to be a real jaw-dropper, often incorporating elements of science-fiction and dark occultism.

Catch two rock legends for one, then hit the fair  on July 14, 2021!

Location: The Pacific Amphitheatre, Costa Mesa
