Portland-based indie/electronic artist STRFKR (pronounced Starfucker) are heading out on tour next Spring in support of their latest release, Future Past Life. They’ll make a stop in Los Angles at The Novo theater on March 27, 2021. Their tour was scheduled around the 2020 release date of their new album, but has been postponed one year due to Covid-19. You may recognize their most popular song, 2008’s “Rawnald Gregory Erickson the Second,” off their self-titled debut album which was featured in a Target commercial and on the popular TV show, Weeds.
STRFKR consists of members Joshua Hodges (vocals, keyboards, guitar, drums), Shawn Glassford (bass, keyboards, drums), Keil Corcoran (drums, keyboards, vocals), and Arian Jalali (Guitar, Keyboards). Together, they make catchy, synth-forward indie songs that can please fans of all types of music. Hodges describes their music sytle as “dance music that you can actually listen to, that’s good pop songs, but also you can dance to it.” They have six albums under their belt now, four EPs and several singles. Their latest album Future Past Life is a collection of quintessential upbeat STRFKR songs with a lo-fi psych rock tinge.
