See French Pop Band Hyphen Hyphen Live at the Moroccan Lounge 1/28/21

French queer pop band Hyphen Hyphen are hitting the Moroccan Lounge on January 28, 2021. Their performance was initially scheduled for May 16, 2020 as part of their spring 2020 tour but was rescheduled due to Covid-19. The trio Santa (Samanta Cotta), Adam (Romain Adamo), Line (Laura Christin) and Zac (Zaccharie Schutte) created the group in 2011 in Nice, South of France. The group have been performing their brand of catchy electro-pop (sung in English) ever since.

Their debut EP, Chewbacca I’m Your Mother was released in March 2011, and their second EP Wild Union saw more synths added to their sound in 2012. They’ve won themselves several awards in Europe for their music and live performance. They’re especially talented at writing catchy songs with hit singles like “Just Need Your Love” and “We Light the Sunshine” from their 2016 album Times and “Like Boys” from their 2018 and latest album HH. They’ve also assisted with the promotion of  international designer campaigns like Armani, Yves Saint Laurent and Lacoste. Their lyrics express their quest for “sexual freedom, a quest for intoxication and feminism.”

See their intoxicating performance for yourself when Hyphen Hyphen perform live at the Moroccan Lounge early next year.
