Chicago based psychedelic rock band Post Animal is different from most bands, in that it doesn’t have a front man. Instead each of the bands members contributes their own song compositions and act as the lead singer for whichever ones they write. This gives Post Animal a unique personality to each of its songs, and a brilliant formula for making sure everyone gets creative control. The band has 5 permanent members, their sixth member happens to be Stranger Things Joe Keery, who went to college in Chicago. He has contributed to the band and fronted several songs, however he does not tour with them because of his acting career. Post Animal has released their EP Post Animal Perform the Most Curious Water Activities in 2015, and Full length albums When I Think of You in a Castle in 2018 and Forward Motion Godyssey this year. 

Supporting Post Animal will be the bands Twen and Woongi. Twen is a psychedelic, dream rock duo consisting of lead singer Jane Fitzsimmons and Guitarist Ian Jones. Started in Boston is fundamentally a DIY band. After recording their first live performance, they released it as an EP, Twen Live touring it around the nation and getting constant love for it. They are known for their singles Damsel and Waste. They are set to release their first full length album Awestruck this September! Woongi is a Chicago based experimental art rock band of four members. Their album Rip’s Cuts released last year, and was written to sync up with a movie called “The Skateboarding Kid”. Rip’s Cuts features a blend between beautiful synth pop, and kaleidoscopic experimental tones, evidently contrasted in their songs Fire’s Dead and Tired Fortress. 

It’s more than safe to say that a show performed by these three bands is a match made in heaven. If you’re a fan of one, it’s inevitable to become a fan of another. Make sure to see them together live!
