‘Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)’ to Bill Graham Civic Auditorium to See Deftones with Gojira & Poppy on 9/18/21

Deftones is a popular alternative rock band that originated in Sacramento, California, in 1988. Through its early years, the lineup of the Deftones has changed several times, but most recently the lineup is composed of vocalist & guitarist Chino Moreno, lead guitarist Stephen Carpenter, drummer Abe Cunningham, keyboardist & turntablist Frank Delgado, and bassist Sergio Vega. The band has released eight albums since its formation to great acclaim, even winning a Grammy Award in 2000 for its track, “Elite”. Most recently, the band released the album Gore in 2016.

Going on tour with the Deftones are two other notables: Gojira and Poppy. Gojira is a French heavy metal band that has released six albums since its inception in 1996, receiving multiple Grammy nominations and recognition for their environment-themed lyrics. Poppy, on the other hand, is no band but is an American singer-songwriter and religious leader. Known for her presentation as an android entity, Poppy transitioned from the bubblegum pop she released early in her career to the heavy metal and industrial music that her music has incorporated most recently. As these two artists join Deftones on tour in the year 2021, the concert is surely not one to be missed

Join Deftones with Gojira and Poppy at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on September 18th in the year 2021, and be sure to continue following MXDWN for all your music updates.
