An Indie Rock Evening with Vundabar at the Lodge Room 11/27

Boston indie outfit Vundabar are heading out on tour this fall in support of their new release Either Light. They’re stopping at the Lodge Room in Highland Park on November 27 with Oakland’s Destroy Boys and LA’s Boyo. It’ll be a night filled with lo-fi indie sounds and vibes.

Vundabar are known for their captivating live performances, filled with plenty of energy, intricate drums, guitar jams and witty stage banter. Members Brandon Hagen and Drew McDonald formed Vundabar while they were in high school, and now have four albums in their repertoire. Either Light is their newest album, and is filled with up-tempo catchy indie songs with a jangly punk feel a la Surf Curse. This was their first release working with a producer, Patrick Hyland, who’s best known from his work with indie-pop artist, Mitski.

The female-fronted Destroy Boys from Oakland will bring some catchy punk energy to the night. LA’s Boyo is one I’ve seen several times, and is quite a charming performer. The project of multi-instrumentalist Robert Tilden, Boyo produces catchy indie songs with tinges of soul and funk that are sure to get everybody grooving.

Get your tickets and head out to the Lodge Room on November 27 for a night of swoon-worthy indie acts!
