Jonathan Ng, better known as EDEN, was born in Dublin, Ireland to a mixed family. From a young age, EDEN had been surrounded by music, having been classically trained in violin since age seven and later teaching himself the drums, guitar, and piano. However, it wasn’t until after he attended Blackrock College that EDEN began releasing his own musical projects. EDEN began releasing tracks under The Eden Project that eventually gained traction, ultimately releasing a total of six EPs and over seventy songs. His second EP, I Think You Think Too Much of Me, was his first charting release. He later released a debut studio album titled Vertigo which marked the first world tour he would embark on.
Since then, however, EDEN has released a sophomore album, titled No Future. In this release and all of his others, EDEN incorporates elements of electronic music and alternative rock that have made this style distinctly his. This sophomore release was also preceded by the singles “Love, Death, Distraction” and “Isohel”. On June 9th, EDEN will be coming to the Bay Area’s The Warfield venue which has seen the likes of other icons like Guns N’ Roses and the Grateful Dead. Be sure to join EDEN at The Warfield on June 9th and continue to follow MXDWN for all your music updates.
