Los Angeles-based psychedelic rock band Mystic Braves will be playing a show at Austin’s Hotel Vegas on Thursday, July 23rd. Doors to the venue will be opening that night at 7pm and the show will officially be kicking off at 9pm with opening performances by Austin-based artists The Rotten Mangos and Chief White Lightning. Tickets are going for only $15 for this electrifying experience! I would say, it’s totally worth it.
Mystic Braves is a southern Californian band based out of Echo Park in Los Angeles and is comprised of vocalist/guitarist Julian Ducatenzeiler, keyboardist/percussionist Ignacio Gonzalez, bassist/vocalist Tony Malacara, drummer Cameron Gartung and guitarist/vocalist Shane Stotsenberg. Their form of modern psychedelia is reminiscent of the 60s and 70s, bringing forth a poppy and groovy sound with the occasional country twang. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2012 followed by 2014’s Desert Island and 2015’s Days of Yesteryear. Mystic Braves first began gaining recognition after the release of the song and video for “Trippin’ Like I Do”. The latest album released by the psych pop band is 2018’s The Greatest Unknown, channeling lost love accompanied by their signature dreamy guitar rhythms.
If you’re a fan of rock & roll and can get down to some psychedelic pop, don’t miss Mystic Braves when they hit up Hotel Vegas this summer!
