‘Better Not’ Miss Louis the Child at the Greek Theatre on 10/9

The formation of the popular duo, Louis the Child, first came about at a Madeon concert where the two performers, Robby Hauldren and Frederic Kennett, first met. Both had been born and raised in Winnetka, Illinois, but hadn’t met until years later. However, both had gone their independent ways to pursue music production yet had eventually found each other. The duo first began performing at smaller venues in 2013 and 2014. But it wasn’t until the release of their popular single “It’s Strange” that the duo began receiving the attention they so deserved. Both were extremely young but were soon catapulted into fame, receiving attention from even the likes of Taylor Swift. In 2015, the duo began performing on a large scale. Since then, their music has been used in Apple commercials, Nissan commercials, and more just from the release of a few singles. Their debut studio album is scheduled to release some time in 2020.

The duo has received an incredible amount of attention just from the release of a few singles and EPs. It’ll be fascinating to see what’s in store for them as they release more and more content and make their name known more and more in the music industry. For now, Louis the Child has three EPs, numerous singles, and more under its belt. And on October 9th, Louis the Child will also be coming to Berkeley’s Greek Theatre to perform their set. Be sure to catch Louis the Child at the Greek Theatre and continue following Mxdwn for more updates.
