KALEO Performing Live at Bass Concert Hall 10/6

KALEO is an Icelandic rock band comprised of vocalist JJ Julius Son, drummer David Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjansson and lead guitarist Rubin Pollock, all of which have been friends since elementary school. KALEO started out in 2012 playing shows at the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival, earning positive recognition for their electrifying live stage presence. In 2016, they released their album A/B which became a huge hit in the alternative music scene, snagging them platinum and gold certifications, a Grammy nomination and several of their songs being featured on major TV shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and Riverdale.

KALEO’s musical style ranges from the bluesy sound we hear in “Way Down We Go” to nostalgic rock & roll like in the explosive track “No Good” paired with the powerhouse vocals of frontman Julius Son. They have sold out countless concerts worldwide and have recently opened for The Rolling Stones. Lately, the band has been in the process of releasing their upcoming album Surface Sounds which will be put out next month on June 5th!

KALEO will be hitting the stage at Austin’s Bass Concert Hall on Tuesday, October 6th as part of their summer/fall Fight or Flight Tour. Doors to the venue open that night at 7:30pm and the show is set to begin with opening performances by indie folk artists Matt Maeson and Belle MT. General Admission tickets are currently up for $37.50 at the lowest price and vary depending on seating options. If you order two or more tickets for the show online, you will receive a physical or digital copy of their upcoming album. Visit texasperformingarts.org for more information!
