Canadian goth rock band The Birthday Massacre will be hitting up Austin’s Come and Take It Live this fall on Saturday, November 28th. Doors to this event will be opening at 7pm with the show to begin at 8 featuring opening performances by industrial band Julien-K as well as hard rock Austinite band Resisting Vegas. Advance general admission tickets for this all ages show are currently going for $20 and they will increase to $25 if you purchase them on the day of the show.
The Birthday Massacre, formerly known as Imagica, formed in 1999 right before the new millennium. The band changed their name around the time their debut album Nothing and Nowhere was released in 2002 and brought a refreshing style of music amidst the era of emo alternative rock. These guys are no typical rock band, creating their unique darkwave sound by blending hard punk rock with electronic elements accompanied by the emotional and hauntingly beautiful vocals of frontwoman Chibi. They have played alongside several big names including Black Veil Brides, Mindless Self Indulgence and Combichrist to name a few. The band has released eight studio albums in total including their most recent work Diamonds which they put out at the end of March this year.
Don’t miss a night of new wave revival this fall at Come and Take It Live in Austin!
