Geographer Performing Live at Barracuda 6/4

Indie synth rock band Geographer will be hitting up Austin’s Barracuda this summer on Thursday, June 4th. Doors to the venue will be opening at 8:00pm and the band will hit the stage starting an hour later at 9. Advanced general admission tickets for the all-ages show are going for $15 and will increase slightly to $18 on the day of the show.

Mike Deni formed music project Geographer out of San Francisco in 2007 and released his full length debut album Innocent Ghosts a year later. The music of Geographer is a form of soulful electro pop blended with synth rock and has roots in indie folk. With emotionally charged lyrics, Geographer possesses the ability to make you smile and cry at the same time through musical expression. Geographer’s unique style includes ambient acoustic themes as well as analog electronic, featuring instruments such as an electric cello at times. Geographer’s latest EP New Jersey is a nostalgic journey through the mind of frontman Deni and the changes his life has undergone. Deni released new single “When Will I Belong” earlier this month. The emotional song was featured on NBC’s New Amsterdam and has already captivated many.
