The Growlers Concert at Stubb’s 6/5 Canceled

The Growlers are a psychedelic rock band unlike any other. Forming in 2009, they became one of the best kept secrets from LA’s underground music scene starting out by playing at house parties. The band’s music is groovy, even funky at times, combining surf rock, outlaw country, blues, lo fi and psychedelia into their own genre they call “beach goth”. They even created their own festival under the name in which they hold annually. The Growlers released their debut album Are You In Or Out? in 2009 and began accumulating a larger fanbase by the time their 2016 album City Club was released, produced by Julian Casablancas of The Strokes. Their latest album Natural Affair was released in October of last year. These guys are extremely versatile with their music and it shows in how much they have explored several genres all while remaining true to their modern psychedelia sound.

Due to circumstances out of their control, The Growlers have had to cancel their show that was scheduled for June 5th at Stubb’s. As much as this news saddens many of us, surely they will be coming around again sometime soon! In the meantime, you can keep track of their tour dates by checking out thegrowlers.com.
