Electronic duo Louis The Child are going on tour this summer and are coming to Stubb’s on Tuesday, July 21st. Due to unsurprisingly popular demand, a second show has also been added on Thursday, July 23rd so you have options! Doors to the venue open at 5:30pm on both nights and the show will start at 6:30 with opening performances by pop artist EVAN GIIA and alternative hip hopper K. Flay. Advance general admission tickets for both nights are on sale now for $36 and will go up to $41 on the day of the show.
Louis The Child is the project of Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett who met at a Madeon concert in 2012 and eventually began making music together. The duo’s musical style is a combination of future bass, R&B and hip hop giving them an energetic and uplifting sound. They are known for their compelling live performances which include bright colored lights and a fantasy-esque atmosphere. Not to mention their energy is contagious! These dudes give you no choice but to dance with them. One of their biggest hits is the track “It’s Strange” featuring the one and only K. Flay who is coming along with them on tour. Louis The Child is currently working on their debut album and have released singles over the past few months leading up to it.
K. Flay is the moniker of Kristine Meredith Flaherty, a fierce hip hop artist from Illinois. Blending elements of indie and electronic with rap and hip hop, she is a force to be reckoned with. She released her debut album Life as a Dog in 2014 and by her second album release Every Where is Some Where she became a sensation with her hit “Blood in the Cut”. Her charisma on stage makes any performance by her incredibly enjoyable. It’s hard not to sing along to songs like “Bad Vibes”from her latest album Solutions.
