Indie rock band Car Seat Headrest will be going on tour this summer and are making a stop at Austin’s Stubb’s BBQ on Wednesday, July 22nd. Doors to this all ages event open at 7:00pm and the show will begin an hour later at 8pm with an opening performance by indie/alternative UK band Porridge Radio. Advance general admission tickets are going for $27.50 and will increase to $30 on the day of the show.

Car Seat Headrest began initially as the solo music project of frontman Will Toledo in 2010, recording out of his car in Leesburg, Virginia. In 2015, the official band was formed with all its members and their album Teens of Denial was released the next year, bringing in a larger fanbase as Car Seat Headrest began finding themselves playing at huge festivals like Coachella. With their indie rock sound mixed with elements of lo-fi and pop, Car Seat Headrest creates music that captures the essence of introversion at its finest. Four years later, the band are releasing a new album titled Making a Door Less Open in which they shift into more of their electronic sound. The album features the recently released track “Martin” and is set to be released on May 1st.

Catch a compelling performance by the guys of Car Seat Headrest this summer at Stubb’s!
