Anyone who’s been in LA long enough has a wild story about the Palladium. Maybe it involves the time they got drunk and found their way backstage or the time they were next to the person who inevitably passed out in the middle of the mosh pit, or even the time they got so high they ended up onstage. Whatever the circumstance, everybody has a Palladium story and this September, people are about to get quite a few more.
This September, the 22nd to be exact, King Krule will be dropping by the Palladium. Those unfamiliar with King Krule may know him better as Arcy Marshall, a UK based singer songwriter who has been releasing albums since 2013 when he was only 19 years old. Only seven years on, King Krule has become one of the most respected artists in the indie scene and his latest record Man Alive! was met with massive critical acclaim as was his 2017 record The Ooz.
King Krule has made a name for himself by combining descriptive and cutting lyrics with unorthodox production techniques. The resulting sound he creates is dense and soupy, easy to get lost in, and wholly captivating.
Following the end, or at least temporary pause of the coronavirus pandemic, King Krule will head to the US to tour his latest album and will be posting up shop in LA on 9/22 at the Palladium. Be sure to check out tour dates on his site and follow Mxdwn for all your music updates.
