Los Angeles-based alternative rock duo Best Coast will be going on their American tour starting this fall. You can catch them here in Austin at Mohawk on Sunday, September 27th. The show is for all ages with doors opening at 6:30pm and the show to start an hour later at 7:30. You can purchase advance general admission tickets now for $25.
Best Coast formed in 2009 and is comprised of guitarist and vocalist Bethany Cosentino and guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Bobb Bruno. The two channel the beachy atmosphere of Los Angeles in their music and add elements of surf punk and alternative rock, getting much inspiration from 60s guitar styles. The duo’s debut album Crazy For You was released in 2010 and garnered positive recognition leading them to start touring extensively and make appearances at music festivals. Their latest album Always Tomorrow was released earlier this year in February and is a personal ode to frontwoman Cosentino’s life and the changes that have come along with it.
