At the age of 41, Tres Warren, the lead vocalist and guitarist for the New York native experimental band, Psychic Ill’s, has died. The band shared the devastating news through their social media accounts on Mar. 23.
“Tres was a lover of music,” the band wrote. “His soul was made of it and he poured that into all he did with such heart and passion.”
Warren originally formed the experimental band back in 2003, alongside Elizabeth Hart, the bassist and singer. The band found inspiration in ‘60s psychedelic music and soft rock from the ‘70s.
The band debuted into the music scene by released their first EP, Mental Violence: II Diamond City, in 2005. The following year, they dropped their debut album, Dins, and continued to release an additional eight full length albums and EPs. The band released their latest album, Inner Journey Out, in 2016. The album featured 14 brand-new songs.
At the moment, the cause of Warren’s death is unknown. Fans take pride in honoring the late singer, as he served as the vocalist for over 15 years.
