The Black Keys w/ Gary Clark Jr. Performing Live at Germania Insurance Amphitheater 7/19

Indie blues rockers The Black Keys will be going on tour starting in May and will be making a stop in Austin to perform at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater on Sunday, July 19th. Along with them will be Austin-based blues rock artist Gary Clark Jr. and southern rock group The Marcus King band from South Carolina. The event is for all ages and doors will open at 7pm and the fiery array of performances will start an hour later at 8pm. General admission tickets are currently going for $22.25 at the lowest price.

With blaring electric guitars and prominent drum beats, The Black Keys combine the sounds of classic rock & roll with blues and modern grunge. Similar to the likes of The White Stripes but more on the heavier side, The Black Keys have been making music since the early 2000’s. The band consists of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney from Ohio and their debut album The Big Come Up unveiled their exploration through sound, leading the band to progress in several albums and successful world tours over the years. Their latest album Let’s Rock was released last summer and is true to its name featuring the electric guitar heavy track “Lo/Hi” and landing the fourth spot on Billboard’s Top 200.

This is a great show for fans of indie rock and blues rock alike to start making plans for. Come catch The Black Keys at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater this summer!
