Sleaford Mods and Girl Band Head to Pioneertown to play Pappy and Harriet’s on 4/14

A quick start up at the top of this story, while Coachella has been postponed, we are going to proceed with the Coachella sideshow previews until we hear otherwise.

Coachella brings a lot of business to the valley, in fact between Coachella and Stagecoach, most businesses in the area are able to keep their doors open due to the massive uptick in sales and engagement during these events. Sadly Coachella and Stagecoach were both postponed in the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic. Though this is good for public health, and inarguably the correct decision, it does come as something of a bummer to any attendees and bands who were planning to perform.

Luckily, Coachella and Stagecoach, unlike SXSW, was only postponed and not cancelled outright. As of right now, it seems that the sideshows should also go off without a hitch, so if you were looking to see Sleaford Mods at Pappy & Harriet’s you’re in luck.

We’ve spent enough time in previous articles waxing poetic about Pappy & Harriet’s so I’ll spare you the full rundown, but the short version is that it’s a bar in Pioneertown, CA (the middle of nowhere) that routinely gets some of the most exciting concerts in the US.

Joining the excellent Sleaford Mods is going to be noise rock group Girl Band. Girl Band, along with groups like No Age, is continuing the tradition of great, classic noise rock as the genre continues to evolve towards more and more experimental sound profiles.

Assuming the entire country doesn’t get locked down in the coming days, be sure to catch Sleaford Mods at Pioneertown, for all we know it could be the last concert that isn’t underground in awhile, because you know you can’t shut down the underground. Don’t miss out on this one.

Location: Pappy & Harriet’s

Address: 53688 Pioneertown Rd, Pioneertown, CA 92268

Tickets available from $27
