Post Malone at the Frank Erwin Center 3/10

Post Malone has made his way to becoming one of the most prominent new artists in the mainstream hip-hop world. Born as Austin Richard Post, he is a rapper and record producer from Syracuse, New York. Post was raised in Dallas after he and his family moved there when he was nine years old. Malone’s debut song “White Iverson” was uploaded to SoundCloud in 2015, and the music video received millions of views within its first month. Since his breakthrough song, he began working with popular rappers such as Kanye West and 50 Cent and even befriended Justin Bieber, eventually becoming the opening act for Bieber’s Purpose World Tour.

Post Malone released his debut mixtape Stoney in 2016 which contained songs featuring some of the biggest rappers/artists of the times and claimed a spot on the Billboard 200. Within five years of his debut, Malone has received several Grammy nominations and made star studded collaborations, gaining him much recognition in the dazzling lights of pop culture. Malone’s most recent album Hollywood’s Bleeding plays with many different genres, creating a fresh new sound for his melancholic songwriting. He’s really just a sensitive guy, and he shows that through poetic raw emotion on this modern-day breakup album. Maybe you can relate a bit?

Post Malone is definitely the life of the party with his high energy live performances. At just the age of 24, Posty is setting the stage for something greater within the music industry. Catch him in Austin at the Erwin Center as a part of his Runaway Tour on Tuesday, March 10th!
