A Blast from the Past: HELLA MEGA Tour at Oracle Park on 07/21

What if I told you, that you could live out the nostalgia of your childhood by seeing Green Day live? Okay, now what if I made the deal a little bit sweeter and I told you that you could see Fall Out Boy at the same time? If that wasn’t good enough, I’ll even one up you and include Weezer too. Well, here’s your opportunity to live out your childhood dreams all in one night. On July 21st, at Oracle Park in San Francisco, you can catch all three on their “Hella Mega Tour”. Tickets are currently reselling in the range of $80 – $500 depending on the proximity to the stage. Opening up for the trio will be the Interrupters. The show starts at 5:30 PM

This iconic lineup has given us gems that influenced all of our childhoods in some shape or form. I’m going to assume you are trying to be cool if you tell me you’ve never sang one of these songs at the top of your lungs while jamming out with an air guitar. Time to brush off the cobwebs on your air guitar and tune its strings, just in case you feel the urge to jam out to classic gems like “American Idiot” , “My name is Jonas” and “G.I.N.A.S.F.S”. If you want to dig deeper into the nostalgia and practice some of your air guitar skills, feel free to go through the playlist below:

Malik Bey: I'm an East Coast native who took on the adventure of living in the Bay Area for the last few years. I'm currently in the process of developing a social media website that will allow all kinds of artist to collaborate on projects and have a safe space to exhibit their art. In my spare time, I create a playlist series called "DRINK WATER"; which is a creative take on exposing listeners to refreshing new music. This series is a collaborative effort from me and a few other music lovers with the purpose of getting more music lovers to contribute to the playlist. I also DJ around the bay area from time to time; feel free to ask me about some of my live sets. But overall, I'm just a music connoisseur who loves talking and writing about music.
