Legendary music festival, Primavera Sound Barcelona, has announced the 2020 lineup on Jan. 15. The festival will be featuring big-name musical talents Massive Attack, Lana Del Rey, The Strokes and many more!
The festival will be taking place between Jun. 3-7, 2020 in Barcelona, Spain, at the Parc del Fòrum. On top of Massive Attack, Lana Del Rey and The Strokes, the festival will also be featuring American musical sensation, Iggy Pop, whom was recently given The Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for his artistic significance to the field of recording.
Rap artist Tyler, The Creator, will be showcasing his talent at the festival, as well as performing the following month at Down The Rabbit Hole, in Gelderland, The Netherlands, at De Groene Heuvels holiday park, on Jul. 3-5. Tyler, The Creator is also set to play at BUKU in New Orleans, LA, on Mar. 20-21, alongside Flume and Glass Animals.
Fellow American musicians, Brittany Howard and Beck, will also be performing at Primavera. On top of Primavera, Brittany Howard is set to play at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, TN, weeks before Primavera, on May 1-3, at Tom Lee Park, alongside Lil Wayne.
As a musically diverse festival, Primavera will also be featuring punk rock band, Bikini Kill, who is hosting benefit show on Mar. 13, in which all proceeds will be going to the nonprofit, Interfaith works. Korean artist, Park Hye Jin, famous for her hip-hop and psychedelic darkwave tracks, will also be performing at the festival.
Primavera will also be featuring English rock band, Bauhaus, who recently reunited in November for several concerts at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angles, California. Their reunion was first announced in September of 2019, stating it was the first reunion since their reunion shows in 2008. It was then the band announced reunion shows for both November and December.
Tickets for the festival are currently on sale at the Primavera Sound website, with the price for the full festival ticket starting at €195. The festival also allows concertgoers to pay in installments, buy VIP full festival tickets, travel packages, and pro packages.
Primavera is also hosting the festival in Porto the weekend of Jun. 11-13, and in Los Angeles, CA on Sept. 19-20. Tickets for the Porto festival are nearly sold out, while the tickets for Los Angeles festival have yet to be released.
