Heavy metal icon Slipknot just shared a 20 minute short film, “Pollution,” directed by co-founder Michael Shawn Crahan. The short film features Slipknot in their signature masks performing “Nero Forte” at about 9 minutes into the video, off of the band’s Grammy nominated album We Are Not Your Kind released last year.
The film presents a series of disturbing, yet curious visuals over ominous sounds, presenting a sinister ambiance that very much reflects the band’s style throughout their career. “I set out to make a short film that makes you question your own existence, here in this reality,” Crahan explains about the film. “When you lay down in your bed, next to the one you love, do you ever ask yourself – is it possible that this person could slit my throat while I’m sleeping? Enjoy. Pollution is everywhere.”
While the short film features Slipknot’s “Nero Forte,” the band released an official video for the song back when the album was released in late 2019. You can check out the original video for “Nero Forte” here.
