Billie Eilish has had a wide list of accolades from the past couple of years, becoming the first artist born after 2000 to have a number one album on the Billboard charts, and becoming the youngest person to be nominated across all four major Grammy awards. She can now add another achievement in her young history, as she becomes the youngest artist to write new theme song for the James Bond franchise; for the upcoming film No Time To Die.
“It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way,” Elilsh said in a recent statement. “To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock.”
Eilish co-wrote the track with her older brother FINNEAS, who co-wrote many of his sister’s major hits including “Ocean Eyes,” along with all of the tracks on her latest album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? which includes hits such as “Bad Guy.”
“Writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we’ve been dreaming about doing our entire lives,” Eilish explained in a statement. “There is no more iconic pairing of music and cinema than the likes of Goldfinger and Live And Let Die. We feel so so lucky to play a small role in such a legendary franchise, long live 007.”
